my grandfather was not in favor of girls going out with their friends. when i started going out for lunch, dinner or tea with my friends in college, he started becoming really angry even though i was going with my parents permission. one day at dinner, he loudly told my father that i was becoming an awara person and he better restrain me, otherwise he would regret it. i have never forgiven him for those remarks. they hurt me and my parents very deeply but no one said anything.
